It's so sweet I can't even!
I got a very strong Spielberg's "E.T." vibe from it and I feel it's meant to a younger public than Bay's movies (I only watched the first one, it was so awful I couldn't bear to watch more) - and it's good; that is, if they are not ready to make us some James Roberts adaptation, a fairy-like and bildungsroman-y story is quite acceptable :)

Yup, especially since Charlie is a really neat main character, I liked her

Blitzwing and Shatter are! Glorious, that is. Bumblebee is first a cocky Dylan, then my sweet baby boy, and then - glorious! Agreed.
[And I loved the humans: so natural, a bit irritating, but first of all, well-meaning. And all of them, even those who we saw only for a moment, had a line or two to characterize them - so refreshing :D )

And for the first time we saw humans acting like real people, not some weird caricatures. Even Charlie's family was cool.

For some reason I thought that BOTH Dropkick and Shatter were femmebots. And it got so ingrained into my mind that even Dropkick's obviously male voice didn't deter me from still believing that. So now I'm plotting a trans!Dropkick story. Two more sleepless night and I'll have it written.
