gokumaJuż od dawna mam taki zwyczaj, że czytając, podkreślam sobie (ołówkiem, od razu nadmieniam :P) fragmenty, które spodobały mi się jakoś szczególnie. Czasem są to dłuższe części, czasem pojedyncze wyrażenia, zwroty; czasem w całej książce jest tylko jedno podkreślenie.
W moim "The bird of the night" trudno znaleźć stronę bez ołówka:
"...What he always tried to make were beautiful and meaningful structures"
"But I have always work to do, there are so many things to taste and see, to think about and speak about and that is what matters (...)"
Ten dla mnie:
"There seems to be no reason at all why I should have found this one person today, rather than another. Or there is every reason. Things make pattern"
A ten - wywierający chyba najbardziej piorunujące wrażenie, po tym, gdy wiemy już, jaki będzie koniec, jakie udręczenie i ból czekają głównego bohatera (fragment pisany w momencie, kiedy one są już prze-żyte):
"...And now they come around me like wasps, asking, asking, wanting to know how it was to be with a great poet all through the time he was writing his best work and my head fills up, there is so much... I say 'I was happy'. That is all I can tell them. 'I was very happy".
Nie wiem, jak to się stało, że tak sobie *trafiłam* na tę książkę... Chyba zrządzenie losu *__*
