Why can’t I read at home?

Whenever I start reading at home I get distracted and restless. But when I’m somewhere else - at the cafe, shopping centre, on the train etc. I can read for HOURS, to the point I travel not to *get* somewhere but to be able to read in peace.

Your home might be too familiar. You've got stuff around you that "Needs" your attention (like cleaning, or a chore, or whatever else), but when you're out in public, no one needs you but your book. XD

It sounds nice though, to get out of the house and go read somewhere nice. :D

I think you have a point. When I'm outside, no one (and nothing) expects me to do anything - the same way when you go to the cinema to watch a movie (vs watching it at home).
BTW, what are you reading these days?

*nod* When I have trouble writing, I usually change location. So I figure the same could go for reading.

Not enough that isn't fanfiction. I'm only on book 4 of my 20 book reading challenge on Goodreads. Oops. XD
