I remember this issue! They were in the park together... and I think Magneto was mind-wiped? Amnesiac? Still, you take your good times where you can get them. Ultimates kind of went that way sometimes.

Thank you! Yes, Magneto was amnesiac here because Xavier decided to wipe off his memories (instead of killing him) and hide this fact from his X-Men.
Ultimate!Magneto is a terrible person (violent and psychotic without any decent backstory that could somehow justify his behaviour) but this scene was really touching. Mostly because of the fact that we see that even without memories Erik is somehow drawn, attracted to him - and that's why Xavier is so heartbroken =>
