It was the sixties of course he was, as you say, a careless youngster, it's needed to grow up into a serious and dignified adult;P

As for writing, my muse is AWOL on any fandom, there have been some fluttering with a new fandom but nothing that made me sit down and write. I'm going away for a small holiday sometime next week and the change of scenery usually prompts something; it might be X-men related;) *finger crossed*
